Hannah Vu
Hannah Vu is a Data Engineer at Ensemble VC, where she helps architect and scale the firm’s back-end systems to power Unity, Ensemble’s proprietary data platform. Working at the intersection of data infrastructure and machine learning, Hannah supports the tools and processes that allow Ensemble to identify outlier founders and surface investment insights ahead of the market.
Before joining Ensemble, Hannah was a Senior Cloud & Analytics Engineer at Sunnova Energy, where she built data pipelines and integrated machine learning models that optimized decisions for over $500 million in energy assets. She previously held multiple engineering roles at ConocoPhillips and began her career at Intel, where she supported microarchitecture development for Cascade Lake processors.
Hannah is pursuing a Master of Science in Analytics from Georgia Tech and earned her undergraduate degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Texas at Austin. She grew up in Houston and travels to surf—drawn to the resilience and clarity it requires, much like engineering. She now lives in Austin, where she works closely with Ensemble’s data science and platform engineering teams to bring clarity and structure to complex, messy problems.
Hannah once lived in Patagonia for a month, where she climbed to the crater of Volcán Villarrica—an active, snow-covered volcano rising over 9,300 feet above sea level. She's also a certified open water scuba diver who enjoys exploring reefs and hanging out with marine life.
