We’re excited to welcome Hannah Vu to Ensemble VC as a Data Engineer, where she’ll help scale the back-end infrastructure that powers Unity, our proprietary data platform. Based in Austin, Hannah sits at the intersection of engineering, machine learning, and analytics—bringing the skills and systems mindset needed to deepen Ensemble’s technical advantage.
We don’t hire engineers to chase trends—we hire them when our data platform demands it. As Unity continues to expand its reach across founder discovery, signal processing, and internal tooling, we saw the need for a builder who thrives behind the scenes, turning messy, multi-source data into clean, operational insight. Hannah brings exactly that approach.
Prior to joining Ensemble, Hannah was a Senior Cloud & Analytics Engineer at Sunnova Energy, where she helped optimize decisions across more than $500 million in energy assets. Before that, she held multiple engineering roles at ConocoPhillips, working on MLOps for oil production forecasting and DevOps for internal AWS and VMware infrastructure. Hannah began her career at Intel, supporting the development of Cascade Lake processors.
Hannah is pursuing a Master of Science in Analytics from Georgia Tech, and earned her undergraduate degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Texas at Austin. A Houston native and lifelong surfer, she brings a builder’s focus, a deep technical foundation, and the kind of calm under pressure that comes from chasing waves.

All AI infrastructure market maps are wrong. But some are better than others.
This is the first installment in "Pandora's Black Box," a series by Data Scientist Lilly Vernor dedicated to unpacking the complexities of AI infrastructure. Lilly leads the creation and refinement of Ensemble VC’s internal products, including Unity, our proprietary platform designed to provide holistic company profiles through growth signals, network analysis, and visualized insights. She collaborates with both existing and prospective portfolio companies to develop value-add products, leveraging data to optimize their operations and decision-making processes.
